Popsicle Bliss

Our poor baby. For the past few days she's had her whole world turned upside down and packed into boxes. Friday night she woke up a few times in the night and cried like she was scared because there were big looming boxes where her cute little nightstand used to be. She's been so good about it though! She chatters and crawls around to see what everyone is doing in her house.

Yesterday she had finally had enough. Poor little Lainy! She just lost it and cried for about ten minutes. After she settled down a little, I decided she deserved a treat. So I stripped her down to her diaper, placed her in the middle of the kitchen floor, and gave her a popsicle. She looked at me with big tear-filled eyes and an open mouth, then smiled and went to town on that popsicle. It was just what she needed. Pure popsicle bliss and attention from her Mommy. What a sweetheart!

Aw, poor little Lainy! I'm sure the moving process has been a little stressful for her. I think it's so neat that you gave her a popsicle and actually let her hold it herself. I think most parents (my future self included) would probably insist on holding the popsilce themselves to reduce the mess you have to deal with, but I'm sure Lainy had a lot more fun eating it all by herself! I know she appreciated you letting her have her fun even though it would be more of a mess for you to clean up afterwards! :)

How sad that Lainy woke up afraid of the boxes...Poor girl! Nothing like a popsicle to make everything all better. Cute pictures! I'm going to have to try giving Caleb a popsicle sometime, I'm sure he'd love it!

Hope your move is going well! She will feel uprooted for a while. You'll have to keep the popsicles on hand. :)
