Yesterday I noticed that Leah's incessant "No, no, Nooo-ing" has been replaced by some very cute, more polite words. Her vocabulary has expanded to include words like eyes, nose, ears, head, and mouth. Words like snack, milk and drink. Even some animal words like dog, duck, and cat. Of course she says Mama and Dada, but she also says Lainy (Nee) and baby. She says stop and go, and hi and bye. And my favorite word, thank you - pronounced "day-doo" and said in the sweetest high pitched little voice ever. So cute. So fun. So hard to believe!
Also, remember this?
Lainy's self-inflicted mullet?
I am happy to announce that her head is now mullet free! Not only is it free of a mullet, but it is growing too! It dries in cute, springy curls which I totally love. I have been waiting for this day since October (when the previously mentioned hair-cutting fiasco took place).
In other good news, Brad finished his Internal Medicine rotation yesterday. It was his last rotation of his 3rd year of Medical School. That means once he takes Step II of his boards in two weeks, he'll officially be a 4th year medical student. Hard to believe that we only have a year left!
So change is coming to our house. I knew it would. Doesn't it always? Some are welcome changes, some are bittersweet, and some are incredibly exciting! Still, I can't help but wish I could slow everything down for a little while. Life is so beautiful right now. I hope your life is beautiful too!

After reading your blog I have come to the conclusion that you are an awesome mom! It has been so fun to read and see what you are up to and you sound like a wonder mom to me! You amaze me Traci!
I'm excited to see Leah--she's grown up so much since I last saw her. And Lainy is as beautiful as ever! Did Brad tell you what Residency I thought would best fit him? :)
I've been feeling that way a lot lately as well. Life really is so good that though changes can be exciting, a lot of the time I find myself dreading them. One change I am excited for though is leaving work for a few days to visit with you and yours!
