Update

The girls and I just returned from a little trip to Rexburg. It was so fun to spend time with family and get away from the city for a while. Even though it was FREEZING in Rexburg, we still had fun. Hopefully someday we'll be able to live a little closer. Our family is awesome.
Yes, that's snow. We wanted to go on a little hike but had to turn around because of the snow on the road.

Though we had a great trip, it is nice to be home. I like being here for Brad when he comes home from the 36-hour shifts he's been working every three days lately.

Brad had the day off on Saturday and the weather was gorgeous, so we spent the day outside. We went on a hike, had a picnic, and played on the beach.

The tide was out at Carkeek Beach, so we walked out and explored the tide pools. We found some cool stuff!
Sunflower Sea Star

Purple Star Fish wedged between two rocks

Red Sea Cucumbers
That world is so foreign to me (the sea world, I mean). I admit, I find some sea creatures quite disgusting. But still, it was pretty cool to see some of them up close and in their natural habitat.

And who doesn't love a day on the beach? We sure do!

Your girls are getting so big! I remember sitting by you in church when Alaina was a new baby...now she is all grown up!

How fun!!! Glad you guys got to enjoy a little time together. Good luck these next few months with applications and choosing a career! Ken has been trying to get a hold of Brad to talk future stuff and have Brad tell him what he should go into. Funny guys. You have adorable little girlies. I wouldn't expect anything less with such a beautiful mama as yourself! Take care.
